I am sitting on safety pins right now.  Yes, I have a story to tell today.  So... I was digging in my closet for clothes since the dress code has changed recently.  I found a pair of awesome baggy black pants that I love.  they're faux suede i think.  But huge like pajama pants.  and really warm.  So I wondered why I hadn't worn them... it was because the tie at the waist needed to be replaced.  So... I replaced it this morning and went off on my merry way.

It wasn't until my class in the morning that I realized something was amiss...  I was suspicious, thinking there was some other reason I hadn't worn the pants... and I found out that it was because there was a rather large hole in the bottom.  Now I understand why the people behind me were snickering when we all got up to bow to the sensei.  Whoops.  So... surprisingly enough, even being the sewing fanatic I am, I did NOT have a kit on me.  I had to resort to safety pins.  It's a good thing I'm one of them Emo kids and have a bunch decorating my backpack. 

And I actually had TIME this morning, so I was looking all cute and stuff.  Bummer!  But I did find some cool contact lenses.  Colored ones, yay.  They're only 12 bucks a pair, so I got green, blue, and purple to play with.  Yay!

I am, but you'll have to wait in line. I've still got a few to finish. If it doesn't need to be done right away, I can do it for sure.

Awww that really sucks when that happens. I had holes in my jeans and what I did was cut them up and put anime characters on them. Hurray for contacts!! I'm working on getting cat eye ones. X3

That is so funny... and sad at the same time. LOL

But at least you have a great attitude about the whole thing. How did you dress code change? Is the school dress code or work?

Ha... yes, it's one of those things you just have to laugh at. ^^;

No more jeans except on Fridays. :( That's the worst. No t-shirts. (they're ok on friday, but no logos allowed). It's just a work dress code. Apparently tuition is down this semester and for some reason changing the dress code is supposed to help it? Yeah, I don't get it...

Weird... O.o Maybe they think "a more 'professional' image will encourage people to take us more seriously." How that directly results in increased attendance though, I can't say.

At least I think I don't hafta worry 'bout dress code much, up here in the main engineering building at the U. Really, the director of the institute wears shorts and sandals even during winter. :D 'course, it'll be full suit and tie when the new building is dedicated, but that's because we hafta look good for the Governor and his posse. <.<;
